Cortney joined the Porcello Law Offices team in November of 2022.

She received her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with a double minor in Business Administration and Psychology from New England College, where she graduated in three years, Summa Cum Laude. While at New England College, Cortney competed on the Women’s Ice Hockey and Lacrosse teams.

She is currently a second-year student at New England Law | Boston and is expected to receive her Juris Doctor in May of 2024. At New England Law, Cortney is a member of the Criminal Law Society and Family Law Society and is a recipient of the Dean’s Scholarship.

Prior to joining our firm, Cortney completed an internship with a criminal defense law firm in Worcester, Massachusetts. During her internship, she was able to learn how to best prepare clients and their cases for trial. That said, Cortney is most passionate about pursuing a career in family law because she recognizes the emotional difficulties our clients face and wants to make a meaningful impact on our clients’ experiences throughout this process.
